Hundreds gather at the Santa Cruz County Courthouse on Saturday to support reproductive rights, joining thousands of others in hundreds of cities across the country who gathered for the 5th annual Women’s March. Saturday’s marches centered around abortion justice and come ahead of Monday’s reconvening of the Supreme Court for its next session. Among the cases before the high court is one that could challenge the current standing of the landmark Roe vs. Wade. Protesters were reported to have gathered in support of reproductive rights Saturday at Women’s March protests in all 50 states and in Washington, D.C. The rallies came a month since a Texas law banning abortions after six weeks of pregnancy took effect. The local event was organized by Indivisible Santa Cruz County.
